I got a jury summons in the mail yesterday...but it was delivered to my parents house. According to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" methodology, I never changed my voter registration to reflect my residency, so Denton County still thinks I live there (so does the Board of Nursing). Thus, working nicely in my favor, I will be exempt from participation in this exciting part of our country's judicial process since I am not in fact a resident of the aforementioned county. I feel like the gingerbreadman...catch me if you can!
(honestly, its not that I don't want to participate or shirk my duties as an American citizen, it is more or less my desire to avoid disruption and making tough decisions of any kind at this point in my life...especially decisions that effect others)
