I am back! As the quote on my calendar for this month says "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" - Dr. Seuss. I am all smiles.

We arrived at DFW just 2 1/2 hours later than expected on Saturday night. There was a 4 hour delay in Auckland due to several issues in Australia where our plane was coming from. This caused the majority of the passengers on our flight to miss their connections in the US. It wasn't so bad, as Jenn and I always seem to find a way to entertain ourselves, plus we got lots of meal vouchers AND we had time to hang out with Lori and her mom in the LA airport. I finally saw my first famous person on our long haul flight from NZ - Michael Eisner, CEO of Disney. I didn't actually go up to talk to him, thinking how lame it would be to tell him how much I enjoyed his intro to my favorite made-for-tv movie Bejewelled (when I was in elementary school, maybe?), but it was still exciting to see him. Our luggage made it back although it is looking rather shabby. Jenn won the contest with her suitcase weighing in at 31.5 kg out of the possible 32. My big one was next with 29kgs. Good times. So now it is jetlag and disorganization as I figure out what comes next. I am living at home with my parents in Carrollton. Jenn is also back home with her family near Tyler, TX.

I apologize for the lack of updates and photos from the last two months. My computer decided it had enough photos, it didn't want anymore, and I would have to be fine with that. Well, I showed it by purchasing a new laptop with heaps more memory the day after I got back. Of course this means you all will get to reminise with me over the next few weeks as I organize my photos and recall the events of 2006 so far.

Big apologies to my mom, as her trip with me is the first adventure missing in my choronicles.
The other big highlight is our scuba diving adventure on the Great Barrier Reef off of Cairns, Australia.
All that, and more, coming soon.

Stats:
Plane rides since Sept 2005 - 21
Number of times I've felt extrememly threatened by a sea gull - 1
Open water scuba dives since Feb 2006 - 15

Number of Photos I took in 6 months- 2384 (and that is without all the ones I deleted!)

Let me just say I love Dr Pepper, Chili's salsa, and warm Texas weather.

Hope this finds you all well and living your own adventures out EVERY DAY! If you see me soon you can envy my nice Australia tan.
